Vale Erich Frank

The IBM Quarter Century Club of Victoria Inc regretfully advises all our members  and the broader IBM community of the recent passing of a colleague, Eric Frank.

Erich worked at IBM for 49 years, mainly in the role of a Customer Engineer (CE), commencing around 1962/3.

Erich passed away peacefully on 1 April 2022 at Ringwood Private hospital, at 77 years of age, after a short battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Doris and their children Tony, Veronika with Murray and grandson Liam, Belinda and Tanya.

Grieving with them are his sister Gretl Hornung and family in the USA and Australia, and his brother Rudy Frank in Melbourne.

A service celebrating his life will be held in the Templer Chapel, 51 Elizabeth Street, Bayswater, 3153 commencing at 11am on 7 April, 2022. Refreshments will be served afterwards in the adjoining hall, to which all are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Temple Society Australia would be appreciated.

This service will be live-streamed with the link shared when available.

The IBM Quarter Century Club of Victoria Inc sends its sincere condolences to Doris and all of Frank’s family. He will be sorely missed and was a popular IBMer.
